Industry Partner Merit Award
This award is presented at the chapter level exclusively for ASID Industry Partner representatives. Chapters may nominate candidates based upon contributions to the design industry, ASID and the community. Nominees must be an ASID Industry Partner representative for at least five years to be eligible.
Concept
The Merit Award is the highest Industry Partner award bestowed by the American Society of Interior Designers. It is given to those Industry Partner representatives elected to Merit status in accordance with guidelines adopted by the ASID Board of Directors.
Eligibility
Nominees must have been an Industry Partner representative for at least five years. The importance of this honor places a serious responsibility on the chapter to submit nominees whose accomplishments are truly significant. Selection of award candidates will be based upon
- Outstanding and significant service to their chapter and to the profession.
- Exemplary service to their chapter and conspicuous contributions to the profession having potential local, regional or national significance.
- Contributions at the chapter level of such importance that they have significantly enhanced the chapter and the profession.
- Significant participation in chapter activities and outstanding contributions which have enriched the human experience in one or more of the following areas as they relate to the field of interior design: design, education, urban affairs, community affairs, historic preservation, research, innovation and environmental design.
